1. A gift for the gift exchange: $5.00 maximum

Event: Christmas Extravaganza-Love some kids for Jesus!

The Christmas Extravaganza is a GREAT opportunity for you to serve and love some kids in our community. I would like to invite you to sign up and help on Dec. 11 from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. We need your help monitoring bounce houses, designing crafts, leading games and snack setup.

Event: SrHi Jesus Center

Come serve with us at the Jesus Center on December 4. We will meet at EFCC at 7 am. We usually serve food until 8:00 or 8:30 am. See you there

Event: All Youth Christmas Party

God gave us an amazing gift on Christmas... Jesus. Through Him we were given salvation. Thank-you God!

This Christmas we want to celebrate Jesus and His work on the cross. EFCC Student Ministries has decided to throw a party in Jesus' honor. We want to come together and sing some Christmas songs, eat some goodies and play some Christmas games. All this will be super fun, but we want to do one special thing that night.

Just as God gave us Jesus on Christmas, we want to share the love of Jesus with those around us. Our desire is that each one of our students would pray about bringing someone their own age (the unlikeable, hated, or mistreated) to the Christmas Party. That night we will spend some time welcoming the new students and presenting them with gifts that our students purchased for them. How cool would it be to have a student from Chico High or PV that is an outcast, loved by EFCC students at our Christmas Party? Well that is our goal. Below are some more details:

All Youth Christmas Party:

When: December 16

Time: 7 pm - 9 pm

Bring and Buy:

1. Christmas goodie to share

2. Invite a peer to the Party

3. Buy that peer a gift

Note: Remember, we want to share the love of Jesus with those who are outcasts, mistreated, and NOT loved. These types of students are all around you. Be praying about the one God wants you to buy a gift for and bring to the party.

Event: Youth Service CANCELLED - November 25

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday we have decided to cancel our youth service on November 25. We will resume meeting at are normal time the following week, December 2. We hope and pray that you have a wonderful time celebrating the goodness of God. See you soon.

Event: All Youth the FEAST

Where: EFCC (Multi-Purpose Room)

When: Nov. 18

Time: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

What:

Holy smokes we have a lot to be thankful for! There is so much that God has given us. His provisions are amazing. His biggest provision of going to the cross in our place is huge. At this feast we want to celebrate Him and His love for us. We want to visit, eat, and worship in His honor. We are planning on having a huge Thanksgiving dinner together. It's going to be a blast. Below are some things we need from you:

Bring:
Dessert (if your last name starts with A-H)
Green Salad (if your last name starts with I-P)
Fruit Salad (if your last name starts with Q-Z)

Parents, if any of you would like to help beyond whats listed above please email me at kenny@efcchico.org. We would love some additional help with making turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. If you are interested in helping please let me know by November 10, this way we can know what to expect. Thanks so much!

Still looking for a name...

Here at EFCC Student Ministries we have decided that it would be fun to name our youth group something. Were NOT trying to name the new youth room, but instead we are trying to give ourselves a name outside of EFCC Student Ministries. We want to be able to have a name so that you can begin calling us something. For instance, if someone asked what are you doing on Thursday night? You can respond by saying, "I am going to RIOT". See, RIOT is an example of a name for the youth group.

So here is my question. What is your ideas for a name? We have one more week to collect your ideas and then we are going to decide from what we have been given. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your ideas.
