SrHi - Mission Trip to SF

It's official.  This summer EFCC Student Ministries is taking the SrHi on a mission trip to San Francisco.  Below are the details:

When: 

June 21-25

Who:

This trip is for our SrHi students (9th-12th).  We are inviting all incoming freshman (those who are graduating from 8th grade) and graduating Seniors to join us.  I will say this is going to be a great trip, but it will be challenging.  I want to see as many students come as possible but, I promise that it will stretch you.  

I would also love to see parents join us in this journey, where you could play a significant role in leading.   Thanks so much for considering.

What: 

This trip is a total of 5 days.  We will be spending 3 days in SF and 2 days in Chico.  This trip is for incoming SrHi students, current SrHi students, and 2012 Graduates.  

We desire to have our students grow deeper in loving God, loving family (other Jesus followers), and loving their neighbors (those who don't know Jesus).  While in SF we will join an organization called City Impact.  They will be training and sending us into the city to share the good news of Jesus in a variety of ways.  Once finished doing ministry in SF we will return to Chico and do similar service projects in our own community.  My desire is that Students would begin to see the Great Commission as a lifestyle rather than a life event.  That Jesus has called them to live missionally here in Chico and to the ends of the earth.  I am pumped to see how God will use us, but also what He will do in us.

Hi friends, we have decided to cancel IMPACT on Tuesday, April 16.  We will resume meeting the following week for our All Youth - FBI Night on Thursday, April 25.  See more details HERE.

SrHi - Sr. Trip

Alright Seniors, graduation is right around the corner and we want to celebrate with you.  We have put together some special plans for this very special occasion.

Our desire is to spend some quality time with one another, laugh a lot, remember some epic times, and celebrate what Jesus has done in your lives.  Below are some things you need to know: 

1. When? - Sunday, May 5 from 4-9pm
2. Where? - Right here in the promise land (Chico, Ca.)
3. What? - We are going to have an epic evening of eating.  First of all, you must wear some of your finer clothes.  We want to be looking sharp!  Once were all snazzed up, were going to paint the town.  Our plan is to hit a few different restaurants having appetizers at one, dinner another, and desert somewhere different also.  It is going to be awesome!
4. Cost? - $20 (please don't let this stop you from coming, if you can't afford it please let me know.  Because we want every Senior to come)

I promise, you do NOT want to miss this.  We can't wait to celebrate with you!  Congrats on being ALL GROWN UP :).

IMPACT is going to be cancelled on Tuesday, April 23rd BECAUSE, we are having our annual All Youth - FBI Night that Thursday, April 25th!  If you need a permission slip or just more information, there are some fliers in the communication racks but also right here on the blog!  Hope you can make it!

IMPACT is going to be cancelled on Tuesday, April 2nd BECAUSE there is the Chico Youth Worship Night going on that Thursday at El Rey Theater!  These are always a good time, so make sure to be there!  It starts at 7 pm and will go to 9 pm, just like IMPACT but it's at El Rey and it's on Thursday! You will not need a permission slip since we will not be leaving El Rey, you will get dropped off there and you will get picked up there!  Below is the original blog post if you wanna take a look!

Students, here is your Spring calendar for 2013!  It covers March through June and there are a ton of fun events so make sure you don't miss any!  Excited for this Spring and all the time we get to spend together!!!
