The EFCC Student Ministries decided to shake it up this year by doing a bunch of random events throughout the summer called Summer Adventures. Below is a video of what we discovered. Thanks for the great memories friends!

Last night at IMPACT the Students raced through Bidwell Park on a picture scavenger hunt for GAME NIGHT! Here is the photo evidence:

Event: All Youth - Indiana Jones Dodgeball

Another great night is ahead at IMPACT! So far we've done Bunco night, FBI Night, Gym Rats, Dodgeball Night and much more. All these events were awesome and this one will be no exception. We're going to have a blast! You don't want to miss this. Details below:

When: September 15, 2011

Where: EFCC Gym

What: Dodgeball (Indiana Jones Style) with a twist! Teams will race through an obstacle course to retrieve items before time is up, all while dodging balls thrown by opposing teams. The team that retrieves the most items in the shortest amount of time wins, extra points will be awarded for each member still standing when time is up. Don’t miss out!

Multi-purpose Room transformed...

We are pretty excited with the changes that have been made to the Multi-purpose Room over the summer. Our goal was to make this room a little more student friendly. Thanks to everyone (Dan Craig, Tim Vaught, and Bob Hansen) who contributed!

Introducing our Student Ministries Staff...

One of the reasons why I am excited about this year is because of our Student Ministries Staff. What a GREAT group to do ministry with! I am so pumped to see these folks serve, love and push students towards Jesus.

This last Saturday we had an amazing time together at our Staff Retreat. It was so cool how God has confirmed (through the retreat) to me that we've got the right people for the job. Praise God that He has been so faithful in bringing EFCC Student Ministries these leaders.

Without further a' do I would like to introduce each of them to you. This way you know (as a parent) who is ministering to your child every week. The list of small group leaders and who they will be poring into is below:

Can you believe it? School is in session and so are we! Are you ready, because we are getting ready for you. Our mid-week youth service (IMPACT) is back on this Thursday, August 18. See you there!

Event: Staff Retreat

A couple of weeks ago I contacted the EFCC Student Ministries Staff about an upcoming leadership retreat. Originally, we planned for an overnight retreat. Unfortunately, we were unable to solidify a location for our retreat. With that being said, we have changed our plans from an overnight retreat to a day trip. Instead of going away together for an overnight stay we have decided to spend a whole day together here in Chico on Saturday, August 20. Below you can see a rough draft of our schedule for the day. If you have any questions or you are unable to make a part of the retreat please contact me.

9:30 am - Arrive at EFCC

10:00 am - Intro Session

11:30 am - Leave for Dave Bingham’s House

12:00 pm - Lunch

1:00 pm - Float Butte Creek

3:00 pm - Leave for EFCC

4:00 pm - 2nd Session

6:00 pm - Dinner

7:00 pm - 3rd Session

9:00 pm - Dismiss Staff

Things to Bring:

1. Swimsuit
2. Towel
3. Bible
4. Note Pad and Pen/Pencil
5. Shoes/Closed toe sandals/Sandals that strap and wont come off easily

Yo Students, it was my pleasure recently to visit with one if our friends from the 2011 Mexico AMOR Trip and he wanted me to pass on a big HELLO to you. Brett misses Chico or should I say, he misses u guys! Just thought you would like to know.

Event: Sign Painting Party
