Event: STAFF Christmas Party

I can't believe we are already talking about Christmas plans, but I know that if I don't tell you now you party animals will be booked solid. So here is the plan:

What: Staff Christmas Party

This will be a fun time for our staff to hang out with each other this holiday season. We will do a gift exchange and eat a lot of healthy dessert. How fun does that sound?

When: Saturday, December 10th

Time: 7-10pm.

Where: Stone's Home

Bring: a gift for the gift exchange. Please spend NO MORE than $5 on a gift. Thanks.

Yo students, parents, and friends, we are NOT using the share tools that are provided for us! One way to get EFCC Student Ministries info to your friends is by sharing it via email, twitter, Facebook or attach it to your own personal blog. This is a great tool that all of you can use. It's an easy way to invite friends to IMPACT, events, etc... Let them know whats going on by sharing the love!

IMPACT will be cancelled on Thursday, Nov. 24 due to Thanksgiving. Have a great turkey day!

Event: All Youth - Hoe Down

Come to the Hoe Down on November 5th! The EFCC students have been invited by Firm Foundations to join them and the rest of EFCC in on the fun, it's going to be a blast! Don't be afraid to dress up, and don't worry about not knowing how to dance, you will be taught. This event is FREE and starts at 7pm and ends at 9:30pm. The event will be held in the Gym. You won't want to miss this! See you there.

Event: 2012 Mexico AMOR Trip

Annually our church takes a group of high school students to Tijuana, Mexico during their Spring Break to help build hope, by building homes for Mexican families. The Mexico Amor trip turns the eyes of our young men and women on the needs of the poor, provides opportunities for them to share with their friends the love of Christ, and builds Christian community by engaging committed adults and young people side by side in service to others.

Since 1980, Amor Ministries has been arranging short-term mission trips to Mexico to build housing for the poor. Each year, Amor Ministries provides more than 1,000 new homes for poor Mexican families. These homes are constructed by more than 25,000 people from churches across the U.S. and around the world.

2012 will be the 21st year that the Evangelical Church of Chico has sent a team. Our 2011 team included 90 students and adults. They built four homes and we are so thankful for the many who make sacrifices to see this ministry take place!

The dates for our 2012 trip are March 17-24, 2012.

Event: IMPACT cancelled

IMPACT is cancelled on December 22nd, 25th, and the 29th due to Christmas. We hope you have a merry merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Secret Sisters

Secret Sisters is a ministry that connects junior high and high school girls with older Christian women. As an act of love, older women provide small gifts and/or cards at various holiday occasions to remind the girls that they are cared about and being prayed for. Each ministry year ends in a springtime event where the "sisters" will meet each other face to face and enjoy getting to know each other better.

Pick up a survey form at IMPACT, either on Sunday morning our Thursday night. The survey helps the ladies get to know you and your situations, and how best to pray for them."

Event: IMPACT Cancelled Sunday, Sept. 25

IMPACT is cancelled on Sunday, September 25. Instead of having our normal youth service we will be Lovin' on Chico. Come and join what God is doing in this city. See you there!

Event: EFCC Picnic

Come to the EFCC Picnic/Potluck! It promises to be a great afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun! Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided. To reserve your spot, sign up and pay at the EFCC Information Center on Sunday!

Cost: is $3 per person; $15 max per family.

Last names beginning with A-L bring a large salad.
Last names beginning with M-Z bring a large dessert.
College students: either bring according to last name or bring an appetizer (chips & dip, fruit, etc.)

Event: Love Chico

Love Chico is now only THREE weeks away (September 25). The EFCC Student Ministries is encouraging ALL Students to serve Love Chico with their families. If for some reason your family is NOT planning on serving at Love Chico, you can join Kenny and Kimberly while they serve at Love Chico.

There are two ways to register for a project:

1. Go to the Love Chico table in the EFCC church foyer on Sunday! If you have served and forgot your user name go to the table and they will give it to you.
2. Or register for projects online at www.lovechico.org.
