SrHi - Sr. Trip

Alright Seniors, graduation is right around the corner and we want to celebrate with you.  We have put together some special plans for this very special occasion.

Our desire is to spend some quality time with one another, laugh a lot, remember some epic times, and celebrate what Jesus has done in your lives.  Below are some things you need to know: 

1. When? - Sunday, May 5 from 4-9pm
2. Where? - Right here in the promise land (Chico, Ca.)
3. What? - We are going to have an epic evening of eating.  First of all, you must wear some of your finer clothes.  We want to be looking sharp!  Once were all snazzed up, were going to paint the town.  Our plan is to hit a few different restaurants having appetizers at one, dinner another, and desert somewhere different also.  It is going to be awesome!
4. Cost? - $20 (please don't let this stop you from coming, if you can't afford it please let me know.  Because we want every Senior to come)

I promise, you do NOT want to miss this.  We can't wait to celebrate with you!  Congrats on being ALL GROWN UP :).

Event: IMPACT Cancelled

IMPACT is going to be cancelled on Tuesday, April 23rd BECAUSE, we are having our annual All Youth - FBI Night that Thursday, April 25th!  If you need a permission slip or just more information, there are some fliers in the communication racks but also right here on the blog!  Hope you can make it!

Event: IMPACT Cancelled

IMPACT is going to be cancelled on Tuesday, April 2nd BECAUSE there is the Chico Youth Worship Night going on that Thursday at El Rey Theater!  These are always a good time, so make sure to be there!  It starts at 7 pm and will go to 9 pm, just like IMPACT but it's at El Rey and it's on Thursday! You will not need a permission slip since we will not be leaving El Rey, you will get dropped off there and you will get picked up there!  Below is the original blog post if you wanna take a look!

Students, here is your Spring calendar for 2013!  It covers March through June and there are a ton of fun events so make sure you don't miss any!  Excited for this Spring and all the time we get to spend together!!!

Event: Time to Transition

At this time of the year the EFCC Student Ministries goes through some transition. What this means is we have young people from the Children Ministries (6th Grade) who will transition to 7th Grade. As for those in 8th Grade, they will transition into High School. Lastly, our Seniors (12th Grade) will graduate and transition to college. Please check the dates below to see the official days that each student will be transitioning.

• 6th Grade to 7th Grade - Sunday, May 12 from 11:15am-12:20pm
• 8th Grade to 9th Grade - Sunday, June 9
• 12th Grade to College - August or Sept. (whenever they begin Freshman year of college) *Note - we encourage our soon to be college students to hangout throughout the summer going to Student Ministries events and College Ministries events.*

Event: Parent Open House

There are a variety of ways we are partnering with parents in the Student Ministries.  Rather than tell you about them, I think it is better for you to see with your own eyes.  I want to invite you to our Open House.  Come with your child and join us for IMPACT.  

We would love for you to see first hand how we are partnering with you as parents, who want to see their children come to know Jesus more deeply.  Near the end of our time together I will give you an opportunity to ask questions and converse with other parents.  It is going to be an awesome evening!  I hope to see you there!

Event: IMPACT Cancelled

There will not be IMPACT on Easter Sunday, March 31st.  We would love to see you at big church though!

Event: All Youth - Serve Our Neighbors

God tells us in his scriptures that we are to love those around us as Jesus has loved us. The EFCC Student Ministries has created a project to do just that. We are going to serve our neighbors (those located around the church) in the form of a FREE car wash and a FREE BBQ. 

There are two parts to this event:

1. We are distributing fliers to our neighbors on Friday, April 12 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. 
2. The actual event will take place from 12:30-5:30pm on Sunday, April 14.  Many of the projects preparations will take place that morning at IMPACT.

Event: All Youth - Chico Youth Worship Night

Another worship night is coming up for youth groups all around Chico!  We have been to a few of these in the last couple years and they are super awesome!  It is happening on Thursday, April 4th from 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock pm.  Our youth group is going to meet outside of El Rey Theater at 6:45, it's going to be amazing!  There are going to be a total of 3 different bands who are going to be playing this night, and they are all really solid!

Since we are doing this on Thursday, there will be no IMPACT on Tuesday, April 2nd. Hope to see you there!
